OLARIA BARCELONA offers the possibility of doing restorations at site as well as also the service of restoring and reproducing pieces. In order to do a good restoration or reproduction work, OLARIA BARCELONA does a previous study by documenting the period the piece was built. In some cases, reproducing and rebuilding the pieces, always preserving its own identity, character and original splendour.
Restoration: Casa Berenguer
OLARIA BARCELONA collaborated in the restoration of Casa Berenguer. The house is in the street “Diputación, 246” in Barcelona. Building built between 1907 and 1908 to be the headquarter of the textile company “Sobrinos de Berenguer”. Also known as “Casa Clapés” because this was the surname of one of the owners. The stone façade is of an extraordinary ornamental riches, with several allegorical elements related to the textile production activity. Especially the spinner “Deo Piñón” or “El Telar” that presides over the platform. The complete group is a mixture of gothic references and other strong noticeable modernist elements like the winding and pronounced balconies at the last floor.
Restoration of Avenida Palace Hotel
A group of images that show the laborious process done by our professionals at the centric and emblematic Avenida Palace Hotel in Barcelona. Specially, we attended the magnificent ornamentation of the glazed façade created by Joaquin Olaria García in 1950.
